After Work tonight with J&E. This is J listening to her analogue camera! *lol*

Yesterday I picked up our tickets for the summer's great adventure - we are going on a two week's trip with our friends A & P, starting in Budapest, stopping in Athens and ending up in Bitola, FYR Macedonia where we are going to a wedding (V & K are getting married!)! I am so much looking forward to it!!

Another shot from Svartsö last week. This was one of my attempts to learn how to use my camera. I think I should have used an even longer exposure for this, but I think it turned out at least ok.

Winter is definitely as good as gone now (about time!). But the weather changes rapidly, today we had lovely weather in the middle of the day but now it's raining again.

We're having network problems. Since installing a wireless network last weekend, our internet connection seems to be coming and going (mostly going) as it pleases. Last night I spent several hours trying to fix it, but nothing works. The problem is probably with our internet supplier, ComHem. The router is a Netgear WGR614. Any useful tips anyone?

It's also raining. Finally spring seems to be on its way, but rain and left-over snow doesn't make any good conditions for pictures. I'll try to post some more pictures from my trip to Stockholm last week for the next couple of days. Btw, if you didn't notice, I've posted some already on the actual dates.

The beautiful house where we stayed during the training! It used to be a boarding house before the War, where many famous Swedish writers spent their summers. Apparantly everyone was supposed to keep to themselves, and the only things you were allowed to discuss were 1. the weather, 2. what was to be served at dinner and 3. if you had seen a snake.

This is where we had our meals, with a wonderful view over the waterside!

They had beautiful old fire places in many of the rooms. I could definitely spend some more time here.

Everything was so calm and quiet. The small house on the left is where I and my colleague G stayed the night, "the sea cottage".

I have been on a two day training on an island in the archipelago of Stockholm. To get to Svartsö we had to ride hovercrafts for 20 min. That was a new and fun experience!

Our driver. Apparantly he used to be a very successful business man who one day had enough and retired to the archipelago. Seemed like a sensible decision when you got to see the surroundings. Beautiful!

I'm not quite sure at what speed we were travelling, but it was a very cool feeling to fly ahead across the ice! Almost as thrilling as with a snow mobile, but of course this felt safer since it was "in doors".

We have arrived, and I must admit I felt a bit relieved since we had to travel across a short passage for larger boats, where the ice was very uneven and loose. Thanks to the driver for getting us across!

I'm away for a couple of days - on an island in the Stockholm archipelago on a Project leader training. Should be interesting. I'll tell you all about it when I get back; until then you can rest your eyes on this sunset I shot a couple of weeks ago - from a car window.

Thinking it would be a nice, sunny and warm(ish) day, we went out for a long walk with our cameras. I put on much too little clothes, since it turned out not to be sunny and nice at all, but rather windy and cold... So I was mostly complaining about how cold I was, and not even the hot chocolate would warm me.

At least I got a few ok pictures, like this barrel lying in the water. Btw, you've seen pictures from the same path before. It is one of our favourite spots.

I also caught a little sparrow trying to hide in the bush. He made a lot of noice for someone so small!

And, once again, marvelling over the super macro function of my camera. Can't wait to use this on the summer flowers!

I suffered from a sudden burst of energy, so we went for a long walk. In Slottskogen we saw two men feeding the ducks. Not afraid of the Bird Flu (now in Sweden!) I guess.

Since we live on a hill, you always have to end your walk with a big climb. Here we are looking down over Linnéstaden ("city of Linneaus") and enjoying the last beams of light before the sun disappears entirely.

And btw, Frölunda are now ready for semi-finals! 4-0 in the quarter-final series vs. Brynäs. Let's go win the gold medal again!

Finally back home again! It's been a very long week... I kind of wish the snow would go away now though.

Since I have hardly seen the sun lately G and I went out for a walk. It was absolutely freezing! Not only well below zero, but also quite windy. We fled inside some shops, which turned out to be expensive. I don't know what's gotten to me lately, in the last week I probably spent my usual yearly shopping budget or so!

Home sweet home =)

Tonight one of the Swedish semi-finals for the Eurovision Song Contest takes place here in Gothenburg. I'm not going to watch it though.

Instead I kicked G's ass playing Upwords!

We got stuck in a traffic jam on the way back to Schiphol, and the taxi driver entertained us by hunting a Red Bull car for a couple of miles.

We finally caught up with them and got our Red Bulls! And right after that the traffic eased up and we could drive on to make our flights well in time.

I have hardly been outside for four days now, since the days are so busy with meetings and dinners. As usual in Holland, it has also been raining part of the time. But on Tuesday I managed to get out for a while during lunch. It is a bit warmer here than at home and no snow, so you can at least get a notion of spring approaching.

Trying out the super macro function on my Powershot S2.

My new camera bag that I got for myself at Schiphol Airport when arriving in Holland. G convinced me that I shouldn't carry a €500 camera unprotected in my handbag =) I also managed to buy myself a jacket that turned out to be more expensive than I calculated for but really nice. I'm not a great shopper so I was quite surprised. Perhaps the trick is to go shopping before 9 am, except for the calculating part that is...

Last night we went to De Efteling Theme Park for dinner. This is the enterance. It was really interesting to be inside a theme park during this season when it is actually closed... I had to hurry along with the group though, so my pictures all turned out rather blurry.

This is the Fata Morgana, where we first went for a boat trip through an oriental landscape and then had dinner.

My colleagues B from the office at home and C from France enjoying themselves. The dinner was nice but too much free wine is not good for you...

I'm back at De Ruwenberg in Holland, this time for our yearly international departmental meeting. Holland is warmer than Sweden at the moment, but I'm guessing it went below zero last night because this is how beautiful the world was when I got up this morning.

My room. This time I got a much nicer room with a nice big bed; I wonder if they changed all the rooms or if I just got lucky?!

My new bling that I got for our engagement anniversary and my new hair cut / colour.
I like them all very much!

I'm going to Holland again for next week. Hopefully I will get some time to snap and post pictures.

I am extremly sorry it took me so long to post the Depeche Mode pics. They are now under 27 Feb.

Today eterisk went with me to Halmstad to take some pictures while I was working. The weather was not great...

He even let me borrow his camera to take a couple of snaps myself. He was on the wrong side of the car =) I'm sure you'll see some posts from today on his page the next couple of days.
