Today all pictures are copyright of eterisk
The Bravery, opening act for Depeche Mode last night. I didn't recognize the name but when I heard them I realized we've been listening to them at home for about 6 months or so... Anyway I think they're great!

And here they are at last! Unfortunately we couldn't get standing tickets, which was extremely frustrating to me, but I am most grateful that we got any tickets at all. But now I'm even more determined to keep my promise about always queing for tickets I really want, and not try to buy them online. I felt as if I was watching the crowd, not the band!

Martin and Dave in action. Don't ask me what Martin was wearing on his head, he looked more like an alien than an angel (which I think was the general idea).

Your personal Jesus? Dave taking in the love of the masses. A great but not fantastic gig (I would probably have been ecstatic had I been able to join the crowd). I wish I could have gone to the After Party to hear Strasse play again, but duty called this morning...

Updated!
YES! Of all (7!!) Olympic Gold Medals Sweden has won during the past two weeks, I must say this is the one I wanted the most and expected the least (?). The team has not lived up to the expectations in big championships for many years, so this was extremely welcome. Unfortunately I was forced not to watch the game, just the last few minutes, which grieves me immensely!

The proudest and happiest Captain in the world right now,
Mats Sundin.
Henke, come back home! And please bring
Affe and
Pebben with you.
We miss you!

I've been to my first christening ceremony in 15 years; my colleague's cute little daughter was being baptized in
Björlanda kyrka, a very beautiful church from the 13th century.
The star of the day with her uncle and god father.
And with her dad.
The text on the truck to the left says "storebror" - big brother. Someone was clever enough to buy a present for him as well.

I've spent most of the day at a choir rehersal, in a school where they had this spectacular old fashioned ceiling and lamps.

Apart from that, the Olympics are taking up a lot of my free time at the moment. It amazes me each time that everyone (including myself) all of a sudden cares so much about curling and ladies' hockey! Speaking of which, the Swedish team are my heroes, I can't remember the last time I was as nervous during a game as when they won the semi-final against the US team yesterday after penalty shooting! And believe me, I easily get nervous when it comes to sports... You go girls!

We have finally finished with The Project! It's like we have an entirely new room, I'm so pleased. If you're not one of my regulars, check out what it looked like
before.

I've passed this house many times and I just can't understand why they haven't torn it down a long time ago. It's ugly and takes up space from where a nice, new house could stand!

We had to get out to get some fresh air and passed this statue. Eterisk spotted it first, so he got to take all the good pictures. You can take a look at some of them
here over the next couple of days. I got one from a different angle though, that I kind of like.

We've spent the whole day putting the new shelves together. Hard work!
Sometimes harder than we first expected... Since we wanted to maximize the number of shelves, they fit exactly into the space and had to be put together on the spot. Which made it a bit complicated to put everything together...

After a hard day's work and a flat that still is in chaos, it is nice to leave the house for an evening with good friends.

Watching the sun set as I leave the office for the weekend.
Friday evening has got to be the best time to go shopping at
Ikea. It's practically deserted (especially with the Olympic Games Opening coming up). Tomorrow we will finish the work started last weekend in our storeroom.
Btw, did you watch the Opening Show tonight? Anyone else who realized that the Chinese team looked exactly like
Iprenmannen? (For those of you who are not familiar with this guy, he's part of a commercial ad for a pain killer).

I noticed this when I was out walking during lunch last week, and passed the local car wash. Either someone had a black-out, or I don't want to know what that car wash did to that poor car. I feel reluctant enough using car washes as it is! Not that my car couldn't use one right now...

We've spent the weekend going through our large storeroom to sort out everything that we don't use, to put it away in our other, less accessible rooms (see below). It's been like this since we moved here 16 months ago, so it was about time!

We have cute little storerooms on top of the bathroom and the wardrobe! Perhaps you can see what I meant with less accessible... They haven't been used before, so I had to start with cleaning them.

Step 2: Take everything out and sort it by where it should go. How did all of this fit into that little room before?

Step 3: Carry everything upstairs that should go in the top rooms. Climb up and have your boyfriend lift up all the boxes =)
Next weekend we will buy shelves to put in the large storeroom which will make it more organized than before. I can't wait to have this done with!
I'm sorry for being a bad poster lately. I just haven't had anything exciting to post! My life follows a very regular pattern at the moment - work, go to the gym, watch TV (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). I've also started singing in a new choir! But I promise I'll try to update you at least a couple of times a week.
